MLS Program Outcomes

The SLIM MLS Program Outcomes are a set of standards by which students can assess their learning in the Master of Library Science program, and instructors and administrators can assess student achievement toward the desired professional goals of the school. In conjunction with SLIM’s Professional Values, they provide direction to instruction and course development, and they ensure that students emerge from the program as, “creative problem solvers who will provide proactive client-centered services in information agencies” (http://slim.emporia.edu, accessed 7-4-2012).
