MLS Professional Values

The SLIM Professional Values outline a set of behavioral outcomes for graduates from the MLS program. In conjunction with the Program Outcomes, they define the desired attitude and mindset of an information professional who has graduated from Emporia. The following text is from the SLIM website.

As reflective practitioners, graduates will demonstrate the following professional values:

1. Service
Commit to quality client-centered services, advocate for equity and value diversity in its many forms.
